Job Purpose: 

To review, evaluate, assess, and analyze work environments, risk, and hazards in order to eliminate, mitigate, control, and prevent incident, accident, or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors to employees and contractors, property and public. In addition, to conduct audit and inspection to ensure full compliance to Operations Management system requirements, and to enforce rules and regulations on safety, health, and environment on employee, work places including Turn Around and projects activities.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Ensure full compliance to SABIC Operations Management system requirements and other regulatory requirements in order to achieve EHSS & regulatory compliance KPIs & Targets.   
2. Ensure site visibility in the assigned PMT by attending (PMT, PMO, R&M) meetings, conducting SHE compliance audits, delivering awareness, coaching employees and raised eSHEM observation as per plant.
3. Support assigned PMT to assess (RA, MOC, HAZOP, PHA, PSSR, and RCA) as per schedule.
4. Achieve full compliance regarding Turn Around & projects requirements related to assigned PMT and to attend TA meetings, prepare all EHSS requirements, conduct RA, Mastering Turn Around  & shut down EHSS Plan and lead Turn Around  as Safety Engineer.
5. Maintain EHSS records in terms of investigation report, interviews, and prepare all necessary reports as required.
6. Participate inn investigation of incidents to identify root cause and classification of incidents as per SABIC Operations Management system guidelines.
7. Conduct frequent survey to ensure all of major and significant risk mitigation recommendations are implemented in the assigned location and all related EHSS related recommendations from RCA, RA, PHA, audits, & etc are implemented with no overdue.
8. Support in improving SHEM Management system.

Requirements:

• BS in Safety, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• 2-5 years' experience in petrochemical / refining industry
