Description

You as a Senior Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Supporting in implementing the quality strategy for the HUB in line with HUB priorities and BU strategy, Assisting the line manager in improving product quality and performance and the quality improvement initiatives in all areas of the value chain from supplier to production lines. Ensuring high quality assistance to customers for all technical or application critical situations related to products.

Your responsibilities

  • Cost of poor quality: Deploying a process to determine the effective quantification of waste and inefficiency in the business (cost of poor quality). Prioritizes areas for improvement, investigates and determines causes, and implements corrective actions.
  • Quality improvement: Ensuring the achievement of the project improvements or savings targets.
  • Quality monitoring: Developing weekly and monthly quality reports and proposes improvement activities as necessary with all functions. Monitors and reviews progress and suggests corrections to meet the key performance indicators targets.
  • Rejected product: Supporting on the root cause analysis of rejected products and proposals for corrective actions and ensuring lessons learnt are captured and addressed.
  • Product certification: Ensuring product tests are performed to obtain certification by standards authorities.
  • Metrics: Monitoring and processing improvement plans for key performance indicators (i.e. scrap) to achieve the hub quality targets.
  • Quality management system: Coordinating the processes harmonization and improving with the different functions and in line with the hub strategy, conducting internal audits and follow up the implementation of the action plans and leading the external ISO audits to ensure continuity of ISO certification.
  • Customer focus: Acting as a coordinator in customer complaints to analyze the root cause and to take corrective and preventive actions, ensuring root cause analysis of the customer transactional net promote score and define corrective and preventive actions with the relevant stakeholders.

Your background             

  • A bachelor’s or master’s electrical or mechanical engineering is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in audits, quality tools and Knowledge in lean six sigma, customer compliance management, voice of customer methodology, improvement projects in six sigma is preferred.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
