Essential:

  • Gr12/Matric or Senior Certificate
  • Degree in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role 5 years in compensation and 3 years in benefits

Job function:

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Analyse Dis-Chem's compensation and benefits in accordance with established policies to ensure standardisation of pay structure.
  • Analyse and prepare consolidated view of Dis-Chem's Cost to Company CTC conversation of the business from plus benefit.
  • Provide advice to business on the annual remuneration processes ensuring the processes are fair and equitable and in line with the reward strategy.
  • Implementation, updating and improvement of compensation processes.
  • Collaborate with the Group Payroll Manager and Senior Managers in building a reward strategy for the group.
  • Lead as directed on the operation of annual or as appropriate salary review and bonus allocation processes.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and market related pay research is undertaken when necessary.
  • Participate in industry forums, HR associations, and professional networks to gather insights on compensation trends and best practices.
  • Participate in compensation and benefit surveys related to our industry.
  • Effectively maintain the system by ensuring accuracy of the information and archived accordingly.
  • Prepare and conduct remuneration and benefits training programs when needed to managers, employees.
  • Support in the implementation of HR systems to enhance the delivery of rewards and benefits interventions
  • Stay abreast of current and upcoming regulatory changes; advise management on the implications and manage the impact thereof.
  • Collaborate with the OD team in job evaluation, salary administration, analysis of compensation surveys and obtain all necessary information to prepare compensation and budget.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure CRISP audit requirements are uploaded and manage compliance to audit requirements through regular feedback, ensuring data integrity at all times.
  • Prepare monthly HR Dashboard in relation to absence cost, annualised attrition, average tenure, FTE movements, number of promotions, overtime, and absence rate.
  • Review compliance with governmental guidelines and applicable laws and regulations and recommend actions as needed
  • Collect data about Dis-Chem's compensation and benefit policies and analyse them to prepare reports and advise managers and/or HR Director to enable them to make informed decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Support the line managers / HR Business Partner’s with evaluation and negotiation of offers made to candidates.
  • Select and manage relationships with consultants and suppliers to ensure satisfactory standards of service.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure remuneration and benefits opportunities are proactively addressed and interventions are successfully implemented.
