Our Client is currentlyseeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to oversee all pipingactivities within our shipbuilding organization. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for managing the installationmaintenance and repair of piping systems onboard vessels ensuringcompliance with industry standards and regulatoryrequirements.

Responsibilities

• Directand supervise the installation maintenance and repair of pipingsystems onboard vessels ensuring adherence to projectspecifications safety regulations and qualitystandards.
• Act as a mentor to trainees in thepiping department providing guidance support and technicalexpertise to facilitate their growth and development. Documenttrainee progress and provide feedback to aid in their professionaladvancement.
• Utilize your certification as anassessor or readiness to obtain one to assess and certify pipingsystems and personnel as per organizational and regulatoryrequirements.
• Leverage your experience workingat prominent shipbuilding organizations to introduce and implementbest practices in piping operations. Share knowledge and insightsto enhance efficiency quality andsafety.
• Ensure that all piping activitiesadhere to top classification society standards and requirementssuch as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINA etc. Maintain accuratedocumentation to demonstratecompliance.
• Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams including engineering procurement quality assurance andproject management to ensure seamless coordination and execution ofpiping activities.
• Effectively manage resourcesincluding manpower materials and equipment to optimize pipingprocesses and meet project deadlines.
• Championa culture of safety by implementing and enforcing safety protocolsand risk mitigation measures across piping operations. Conductregular safety audits andinspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelorsdegree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred withadditional certifications or training in piping systems beingadvantageous.
• Proficient English communicationskills with a minimum IELTS band score of 7 or equivalent essentialfor mentoring trainees and documenting theirprogress.
• Documented history of being acertified assessor or eligibility to become one demonstrating theability to assess and certify piping systems andpersonnel.
• Proven track record of working atprominent shipbuilding organizations with significant experience inpiping operations. Bring along best practices and behaviors toenhance operations.
• Demonstrated experienceworking on projects adhering to top classification societystandards/requirements such as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINAetc
