Job Summary

We arelooking for experienced Reservoir Simulation Engineers to joinUnconventional Resources Department in Dhahran Saudi Arabia tomanage some of the worlds largest unconventional fields.

Our experts conduct pioneering research introduce newtechnologies and provide specialized engineering services as partof our customized reservoir simulation practices.

This senior technical role requires an expert in reservoirsimulation to provide expert advice and guidance to the business ofreservoir simulation.

This position is embeddedwithin the Unconventional Resources Department and as a seniortechnical professional in reservoir simulation will engage withleaders and experts from across the upstream business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in integrated reservoirsimulation studies including data analysis model constructionhistory matching calibration and prediction.
  • Act as a technical advisor to management regarding bestpractices for reservoir simulation and modeling particularly forunconventional resources simulation challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with Petroleum and OperationsEngineers to generate monitor and ensure execution of shortterm andlongterm data gathering plans for their field including well testsproduction logging tests and formation pressure data.
  • Utilize petroleum engineering software for variousanalyses including well test analysis material balance productionlogging and nodal analysis.
  • Apply specializedsimulation modeling techniques such as fracture modelingcompositional modeling PVT modeling coupling surface and subsurfacemodeling and complex well and smart completions.
  • Study and propose alternatives to optimize fielddevelopment and maximize hydrocarbon recovery from new and maturefields.
  • Provide expert mentoring training andteach inhouse technical courses to develop youngengineers.
  • Represent This Company in externaltechnical contacts with consultants and vendors and participate intechnical societies and groups.

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • Hold a Bachelors degreein engineering geology geophysics or physics. An MSc or PhD isdesirable.
  • Possess a minimum of 15 years ofintensive experience in reservoir simulation encompassing bothconventional and unconventional fields. Completion of specializedcourses and seminars is expected with technical publications beingvalued but practical experience being paramount.
  • Demonstrate experience in unconventional reservoirsimulation.
  • Exhibit the ability to workeffectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate ideasclearly with specialists in reservoir characterization geologicmodeling petrophysical evaluation core analysis reservoirmanagement and production engineering.
  • Haveextensive working knowledge of standard vendor applications for preand postprocessing of simulation data.
