General Description of Role andResponsibilities:

  • Check all the submittedprograms.
  • Review Developers reports.
  • ReviewConstruction Reports.
  • Prepare ManagementReports.
  • Recommend solutions for theencountered delays.
  • Analyze delays andrecommend recovery plans.
  • Normalize andstandardize the schedule of works.
  • Advise onthe weighing scale with respect to the WBS.
  • Organize project review meetings evaluate and report toCM about project growth.
  • In conjunction withthe Manager Cost Management Division shall prepare and maintain aBranch procedures manual covering but not limitedto:
  • Planning managementtraining andsupport.
  • Standard WBSStructure.
  • StandardProgramme Structure for Level 1 2 and 3programmes.
  • Planningprocedures andcontrol.
  • Time ManagementPlan.
  • Claims managementEOT Delayanalysis.
  • Preparation/Reviewof all tender programmesubmissions.
  • Resourceplanning and development of all Project ControlStaff.
  • Establishment of aprogramme structure in conjunction with the development of thebudget structure.
  • Planningfor all newly awarded projects.
  • Oversee the developmentof more detailed schedule preparation for the Site ProjectPlanner.
  • Establishment offour weekly looks ahead programmes procedure for onsite projectplanner.
  • Establishmentand maintaining of earned valuereporting procedures i.e.measurement of Budgeted Cost of Work Schedule (BCWS) Budgeted Costof Work Performed (BCWP) and Actual Cost of Work Performed(ACWP).
  • Responsible for overall projectdeliverables and managing the constraints of the project(schedule/Financials/customer requirements).
  • Responsible for process improvement drive schedule& cost completeness accuracy ontime delivery and cyclevolatility. Establish and maintain schedule and cost rhythm withproject teams. Communicate and report out project managementmetrics to leadership regularly. Coach and train employees inproject management and control procedures while drivingaccountability for results.
  • Provide financialperformance reviews project execution and schedule on an ongoingbasis.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Drive the use of digitization strategy forproject control process software systems and tools.
  • Coach and train employees in project management andcontrol procedures for the mix of projects while drivingaccountability for the results.
  • Interfacewith commercial and engineering functions to coordinate projectdevelopment implementation and control resulting in project volumeandprofitability.

QualificationsExperience Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree inEngineering Construction Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Total of 20 years of working experience in asimilar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of leadingor executing project controls elements is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 is required.
  • The possession of a PMPSP (Project ManagerProfessional Scheduler Professional PMI) Certificate or a similarcertificate will also be valued.
  • Ability tothink ahead identify new opportunities and create new andinnovative approaches to workrelated issues.
  • Demonstrates a determination desire to succeed and a wishto progress and develop within a commercial role.
  • Excellent command of written and spokenEnglish.
