Job Summary

We are seeking an industrial Incident Investigator to jointhe This Company Loss Prevention organization (LP) which is thecorporate safety organization within This Company. We provide bothdaytoday infield occupational and process safety support to ThisCompany operations as well as centralized technical support andconsulting function. Our field offices are located in Abqaiq RiyadhRas Tanura Dhahran Udhailiyah Jeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan)and Tanajib. Through these offices LP provides its services to allThis Company facilities and departments that are located throughoutthe Kingdom.

Your primary role as an industrialIncident Investigator (Loss Prevention Engineer) is to helpinvestigate industrial incidents (fires major leaks hydrocarbonexplosions etc.) identify proper root causes and the actionsnecessary to prevent recurrence. This includes preparing draft andfinal incident reports as well as providing long term support toaddress all recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigating industrial incidentsparticularly those with high consequences and comprehending thehazards associated with industrial facilities and theircorresponding controls.
  • Identifying preservingand examining incident evidence using widely accepted forensicscience principles.
  • Supporting investigationteams by ensuring the proper understanding and utilization ofinvestigation techniques.
  • Conducting thoroughinvestigations using appropriate investigative tools specific tothe incident at hand.
  • Understanding incidentcausation and the impact of human factors.
  • Developing or meticulously reviewing all draft incidentinvestigation reports and overseeing all stages ofreview.
  • Identifying recommendations thatwarrant global dissemination for corporatewideimplementation.
  • Creating lessons learned andsafety alerts/bulletins to disseminate actions aimed at preventingrecurrence.
  • Educating employees contractorsand other stakeholders to ensure the timely communication oflessons learned.
  • Developing and reviewingcorporate safety guidance on incident investigations.

Requirements:

  • his role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • A Bachelors degree inEngineering or Engineering Technology from an AccreditedInstitution.
  • Ten years of experienceinvestigating highconsequence (major) industrialincidents.
  • A deep understanding of the varioustools and techniques utilized in conducting suchinvestigations.
  • Excellent communication skillsin English capable of effectively communicating with peers andmanagement.
  • Ability to produce clear andconcise oral and written reports in English.
