Responsibilities
  • Draftreview clarify legal language and provide necessary support onlegal documents contracts T&C policies procedures etc.
  • Provide legal guidance and advice on businessactivities and other functions in thecompany.
  • Oversee all general legal operationsas per the legal policy and management instructions to ensure thatthe company meets legal standards based on applicable laws andregulations.
  • Monitors the updates in laws andregulations as relevant to the companys business and providesreports to the management and training to related employees onlegal matters and requirements as needed.
  • Asnecessary and per instructions conduct legal research in the localand international laws and regulations to establish the best legalpractices for the company.
  • Closely work withexternal lawyers and any related legal party such as consultants toassess legal issues and deliver outcomes as per the defined scopeof work for such legal engagements with lawyers and consultants.
  • Establish and manage legal risks framework byidentifying the potential laws and regulations risks and setting upthe risks mitigation plan as per the companys risk policy.
  • Assess and support the business and taximplications to identify potential risks.
  • Representing the organization in legalproceedings when mandated.
  • Acts as a leadresource on matters related to corporate governance.
  • Support on preparing distributing andarranging Board and Committees meetings as per the calendar ofmeetings that are related to exercising the corporate governancefunction.
  • When requested by the chief of GRCattend meetings take minutes track the approval of minutes with themembers and distribute the actions tasks to the relevantstakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorsdegree in law is a must.
  • Masters degree in lawor business is preferred.
  • Any otherprofessional qualifications training and membership will be a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years proven experience inFinancial and Corporate laws and regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience.
  • Good regulatory and industry relationships.
  • Knowledge of local and international laws andregulations.
  • Ability to work under pressureand make sound legal decisions.
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills.
  • Detailoriented and strong analyticaland problemsolving skills.
  • Proven experienceand knowledge of working with law and consulting firms.
  • Good presentation and MS Officeskills.
