PositionDescription

The companys GlobalManufacturing Organisation seeks an experienced EnvironmentalEngineer to join the Decarbonisation and Sustainability Divisionfocusing on environmental protection andperformance.

The ideal candidate must bewellversed in ISO14001 Environmental Management System possessextensive knowledge of environmental regulations and standards andhave experience in refining environmental performance assessmentmonitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilitiesinclude identifying environmental issues providing solutionsconducting waste minimization assessments and advising on wastehandling and disposal. Additionally expertise in establishingenvironmental business plans emissions baseline and setting targetsfor key performance indicators such as flaring and emissions tomarine environments is essential.

Candidateswith experience in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management data analyticsand strong leadership skills to coordinate environmental teams arepreferred.

MinimumRequirements

  • Bachelorsdegree in Chemical or EnvironmentalEngineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience inoil and gas refineries andpetrochemicals.
  • Familiarity with global andgovernmental environmental policies regulations andstandards.
  • Preferably EPI/QEPcertified.
  • Strong analytical andtroubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in ISO14001Environmental Management System.
  • Experience indeveloping decarbonization roadmaps and GHG emissionmanagement.
  • Excellent computer and presentationskills.
  • Effective management and coordinationabilities.
  • Proficiency in English both verbaland written.
  • Ability to work well underpressure.

Duties &Responsibilities

  • Monitorfacility operations to ensure compliance with environmentalprotection policies and standards.
  • Identify andresolve environmental issues to mitigate risks and improveregulatory compliance.
  • Conduct environmentalassessments and providerecommendations.
  • Develop and implement GHGmanagement programs including data analysis andreporting.
  • Conduct internal GHG audits andsupport thirdparty audits.
  • Monitor wastedisposal and ensure compliance withregulations.
  • Establish environmental KPIs andtargets aligned with company policies.
  • Developand deploy environmental management systems in line with ISO14001.
  • Lead emissions monitoring and reductioninitiatives.
  • Stay updated on international andregional regulations and collaborate with stakeholders to ensurecompliance.
  • Analyze complex data sets to deriveactionable insights.
  • Organize technicalworkshops and deliver trainingsessions.
