Job Summary

ThisCompany Global Manufacturing Organization is seeking an experiencedEnvironmental Engineer to work under Decarbonization andSustainability Division to render environmental protection andperformance aspects. Successful candidate should have min. of 12years work experience in Oil and Gas sector especially in RefiningChemical and/or NGL Fractionation Process. The candidate should befamiliar with ISO14001 Environmental Management System andsubstantial experience in environmental regulations and standards.Also candidate should have work experiences with overall refineryenvironmental performance calculation daily monitoring andreporting. Identify deviations and developing solutions toenvironmental problems. Perform waste minimization assessments andadvise on the handling treatment and disposal of solid liquidhazardous and toxic wastes. Experience in establishingenvironmental business plans objectives emission baseline andsetting targets of key performance indicators such as flaring SO2emission and Hydrocarbon discharge to marine. Additionallycandidate is preferred have adequate knowledge and experience inGreen House Gas (GHG) management strong data collection and dataanalytic experience to observe the GHG reduction opportunities andadvise to improve the performance. Strong management andcoordination skills are necessary to lead and work withenvironmental teams in operating facilities under the GlobalManufacturing Excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor facility operating and business plansto ensure alignment with environmental protection policy and allapplicable environmental policies guidelines andstandards.
  • Identify deviations and developsolutions to environmental problems to mitigate environmental risksand improve compliance with company and governmentalregulations.
  • Conduct comprehensiveenvironmental assessments and provide recommendations forimprovement.
  • Develop review and implementGreenhouse Gas (GHG) management programs including data collectionanalysis and reporting.
  • Conduct internal GHGassurance audits and provide support for facilities thirdparty GHGaudits.
  • Monitor solids and chemical disposalsto ensure safe environmental protection in compliance withgovernmental regulations.
  • Monitor air qualitywastewater and water conservation and waste managementperformance.
  • Establish environmental KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) targets aligned with companyenvironmental policies and strategies.
  • Developreview and deploy facilities environmental management systems inalignment with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Developand maintain environmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct internal environmental performance benchmarkingstudies among oil and gas refineries.
  • Lead andsupport the development of emissions monitoring tracking andreduction solutions.
  • Stay updated oninternational and regional regulations concerning emissions wastemanagement water and wastewater and GHG to ensurecompliance.
  • Collaborate closely withstakeholders including field engineers toplevel executives andregulatory bodies to align with industry needs.
  • Analyze complex datasets related to emissions equipmentefficiency and other relevant parameters to derive actionableinsights for enhancement.
  • Oversee the programlifecycle from ideation to deployment ensuring timely delivery andcontinuous improvement.
  • Organize technicalexchange workshops among oil and gas refineries.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to promoteenvironmental awareness among refinery personnel.

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • Bachelors degree inChemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimumof 10 years of experience in oil and gas refineries orpetrochemical industry.
  • Comprehensiveknowledge of the oil & gas refining industry and itsenvironmental challenges and risks.
  • Familiarity with global and governmental environmentalpolicies regulations and standards.
  • EPI/QEPcertification is preferred.
  • Expertise intechnical sustainability data calculation methodology andlimitations.
  • Strong analytical andtroubleshooting skills in environmental engineering.
  • Understanding of ISO14001 Environmental Management Systemand its requirements.
  • Experience in developingdecarbonization roadmaps GHG emission baselines and targetsetting.
  • Proficient in computer skills andpresentation abilities.
  • Strong management andcoordination skills.
  • Proficient in Englishboth verbal and written.
  • Ability to workeffectively under pressure.
