Bakery Chef

A Baker (Head) is responsible for supervising staff andensuring high levels of food preparation to deliver an excellentGuest and Member experience while assisting with food costcontrols.

What will I be doing

A Baker (Head) will supervise staff and ensure highlevels of food preparation to deliver an excellent Guest and Memberexperience. A Chef de Partie will also be required to assist withfood cost controls. Specifically you will be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Ensure all food preparation meetsstandards
  • Prepare and present high qualityfood
  • Supervise staff
  • Keepall working areas clean and tidy and ensure no crosscontamination
  • Prepare all misenplace for allrelevant menus
  • Assist in positive outcomesfrom guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and storedcorrectly
  • Contribute to controlling costsimproving gross profit margins and other departmental and financialtargets
  • Assist other departments wherevernecessary and maintain good working relationships
  • Assist Head Chef/Sous Chef in the training of all staffin compliance of company procedures
  • Reportmaintenance hygiene and hazard issues
  • Complywith hotel security fire regulations and all health and safety andfood safety legislation
  • Be environmentallyaware
What are we lookingfor

A Baker (Head) serving Hilton brands isalways working on behalf of our Guests and working with other TeamMembers. To successfully fill this role you should maintain theattitude behaviours skills and values that follow:

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous experienceas a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partierole
  • A current valid and relevant tradecommercial cookery qualification (proof may be required)
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Ability anddesire to motivating Team
  • Excellentcommunication skills
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Achieved Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Supervisory experience
  • Positiveattitude
  • Ability to work underpressure
  • Ability to work on own or inteams

It would be advantageous inthis position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities anddistinctions:

  • Previous kitchenexperience in similar role
  • Intermediate FoodHygiene
  • Knowledge of current foodtrends
