PositionSummary:

Our client is seekingexperienced Maintenance Mechanical Engineers for its MechanicalService Shops Department (MSSD) in Abqaiq Dhahran and Jeddah. As amember of MSSD you will be responsible for diagnosing repairing andoverhauling a range of rotating equipment including air instrumentssteam turbines gas compressors gearboxes pumps and valves. Ourclient boasts stateoftheart workshops and facilities operated bytheir highly skilled and experienced workforce. The primary focusof MSSD is maintaining our clients rotating and stationaryequipment providing crucial support to all field organizationsthrough equipment maintenance and repair. MinimumRequirements:

  • BachelorsDegree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Minimum 15years of handson experience in mechanical maintenance as outlinedin the position description;
  • Experience inmechanical design troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gasrotating equipment;
  • Experience with originalequipment manufacturing facilities or equivalent certified repairfacilities;
  • Proficiency in English reading andwriting.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Providetechnical support for the repair and overhaul of rotatingequipment;
  • Offer technical consultation torepair units and contractor shops;
  • Supportfield installation maintenance and repair of rotatingequipment;
  • Troubleshoot repair and modifyexisting equipment identifying cost reductions and processimprovements;
  • Prepare design engineeringpackages for rotating equipment;
  • Conducttechnical investigations for shop repair return jobs identifyingroot causes of failure and correctiveactions;
  • Introduce the latest repairmethodologies and technologies;
  • Develop andrevise technical procedures andstandards;
  • Provide coaching and knowledgesharing to junior engineers quality inspectors andtechnicians;
  • Offer technical input forpurchasing specifications and evaluate technicalproposals;
  • Collaborate with departmentengineers consulting services other departments andmanufacturers;
  • Coordinate with repair unitsquality assurance units contractors vendors and manufacturers indeveloping evaluating and implementing repairscopes;
  • Participate in vendor and customerexchange meetings.
