Ensure the correctapplication of the functions provided for by current Health andSafety Saudi legislation and by the edited Quality manual of theshipyard(QMS).

Responsibilites

StrategicResponsibilites

  • Alignfunction goals processes and resource allocation with theorganizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercialand business objectives.
  • Ensure theaccomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;planning and evaluating organizational unitactivities.
  • Define objectives identifies andevaluates trends and options chooses a course of action andevaluates outcomes.
  • Accomplish financialobjectives by forecasting requirements preparing an annual budgetscheduling expenditures analyzing variances and initiatingcorrective actions.
  • Support with strategicproblems resolution and subjective decisionmaking

ManagerialResponsibilites

  • Supervisethe entire work done by the team members and making sure it iscompleted on time without any delay.
  • Lead theteam to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation ofresponsibilities and supervising businessoperations.
  • Set the vision and motivation ofthe team in order to achieve the sought objectivesefficiently.
  • Set appropriate and achievabledeadlines.
  • Track and report criticalorganizational unit performance results and escalate and negotiatebusiness related issues to seniormanagement.
  • Accomplish staff results bycommunicating job expectations planning monitoring andappraisingjob results.

FunctionalResponsibilites

  • Leading thepreparation of risk assessment documentation in compliance withSaudi legislation.
  • Providing strategictechnical and regulatory support to Organizational Units duringauthorization procedures and ensuring continuous compliance withevolving legislation.
  • Overseeing comprehensiveoccupational risk assessments covering aspects such as workplacedesign equipment and risk factors.
  • Directlymanaging the evaluation and identification of prevention measuresPPE selection and safety procedureformulation.
  • Initiating information andtraining programs on Occupational Health and Safety aiming forcontinuous improvement in safetystandards.
  • Managing the evaluation of thetechnical suitability of Contractors and the formulation of riskassessment documents.
  • Coordinating withContracting Companies and overseeing fire prevention evacuation andfirst aid activities.
  • Cultivating relationshipswith Public Services for emergency management and ensuringcompliance with legal regulations and technologicaladvancements.
  • Directly supervising staffresponsible for emergency interventions and overseeing healthsurveillance obligations.
  • Fulfilling legalobligations in case of accidents maintaining relevant documentationand conducting statistical surveys.
  • Managingrelationships with external bodies monitoring workplace hygiene andsafety.
  • Conducting systematic managerial visitsto ensure the proper implementation of prevention and protectionmeasures.
  • Ensure constant and sufficientregulatory support for all Shipyard Organizational Units focusingon the application and development of environmental protectionlegislation.
  • Drive and participate in theformulation of company procedures alongside relevant ShipyardOrganizational Units emphasizing compliance with regulations toprevent pollution during routineoperations.
  • Take direct actions within thescope of environmental expertise to enforce compliance withregulations.
  • Coordinate checks on systems andprocesses to verify alignment with mandatory environmentallegislation.
  • Cultivate and maintainrelationships with external entities responsible for monitoringenvironmental matters.
  • Collaborate in definingtechnical and organizational methods for overseeing cleaningactivities within the Shipyard including ships underconstruction/fitting out and waste collection anddisposal.
  • Conduct control and surveillanceactivities within the environmental domain ensuring compliance withcontracts legal regulations and company procedures by cleaningcompanies ship operators and waste collectionentities.
  • Undertake independent orcompanyinitiated internal controls at the Plant aiming to ensurethe adoption of necessary measures for optimal environmentalprotection and safeguarding.
  • Manage QMS andManual oversight directing quality control prevention andimprovement activities in the MilitaryShipyard.
  • Assess and communicate productquality aspects for hull activities at otherfactories.
  • Lead and oversee certificationprocesses ensuring effective coordination among ShipyardOrganizational Units aligned with Top Managementguidelines.
  • Supervise verification distributionand archival of QMS documentation excluding Shipyard OperatingInstructions handled by the Methods OrganizationalUnit.
  • Provide managerial support for organizingQuality and Safety Committees and Review activities includingdocument preparation and properarchiving.
  • Support Management in coordinatingrelationships with Customers/Classification Bodies regardingquality aspects and satisfaction following company rules and OrderQuality Plans.
  • Collaborate with the teamresponsible for Naval Orders Quality in drafting Project QualityControl (PQC) with a specific focus on the Control and TestingPlan.
  • Oversee archival of records for checks inthe Control and Testing Plan and PCP checks ensuring completenessand correctness.
  • Plan and execute relevantchecks and inspections according to establishedprotocols.
  • Take charge of developing theNonDestructive Testing Plan (NDE Plan) in collaboration with theMethods Unit managing the approval process by the relevantStakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelorsdegree in Environmental Science Engineering Quality Management orany other similar field.
  • 15 years and above ina related field including 10 years in a leadershiprole.
  • Masters degree Environmental ScienceEngineering Quality Management or any other similar field ispreferred.
