Job Summary

We areseeking a Global Tax Compliance and Reporting Specialist to jointhe Controllers Division of This Company. The Global Tax Complianceand Reporting (GTC&R) Specialist is accountable for theactivities of (GTC&R) group. The GTC&R Specialist isbroadly responsible for the worldwide enterprises global taxaccounting and compliance activities. The responsibilities includeBEPS transfer pricing documentation review of tax provisionsuncertain tax positions and providing global tax governance andquality control over tax compliance matters for the worldwideenterprise. The GTC&R Group is also responsible for providingtax optimization support on domestic and international tax mattersto InKingdom and Outof Kingdom subsidiaries and jointventures.

The GTC&R Specialist provides awide range of business advisory services as they relate to taxcompliance and income tax accounting. The GTC&R Specialistserves as the single point of contact for tax compliance and incometax accounting matters throughout the global organization. Entitychief financial officers controllers and other personnel throughoutthe enterprise report to the GTC&R Group on tax accounting andcompliance matters relating to their respectiveoperations.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Utilize major global energy company experience to driveglobal consistency.
  • Demonstrate deep financialmanagement skills and overall business acumen.
  • Possess a strong understanding of financial accountingprinciples preferably under IFRS.
  • Applyanalytical mindset process orientation organized and structuredapproach to problemsolving and ability to work underpressure.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonalskills and interest in building an effective internalnetwork.
  • Have an excellent command of oral andwritten English and Arabic.
  • Perform functionscommon to a GTC&R Specialist role.
  • Implement Tax Policy and protocols for the administrationof all tax compliance and tax accounting matters globally and forad hoc projects.
  • Represent the ControllersDivision and the Senior Vice President of Finance Strategy andDevelopment in taxrelated matters.
  • Overseeincome tax compliance globally including exercising key qualitycontrols and serve as the global process owner for income taxaccounting and tax compliance encompassing both direct and indirecttaxes.
  • Define document and implement operatingprocedures globally while maintaining effective controls over taxaccounting and tax compliance.
  • SupportManagement in making decisions on complex and technical tax mattersincluding accounting judgments regarding uncertain tax positionsand deferred tax asset realization while ensuring auditabledocumentation is maintained.
  • Act as a subjectmatter expert on accounting for income taxes and reportingdisclosures related to income taxes.
  • Identifytax issues concerning tax compliance and income tax accountingprovide advice and propose solutions communicated to relevantstakeholders for execution.
  • Liaise withfinancial accounting and reporting teams and build collaborativerelationships with joint venture and subsidiary Controller/Financeorganizations.
  • Establish and maintainexcellent relationships with subsidiary and joint venture financeand tax staff as well as service providers and interact regularlywith Tax Counsel.
  • Ensure the accuracy of taxfigures and estimates included within planning financial reportingmergers & acquisitions analysis and financial models fortransactions and business investments.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to relocate toDhahran Saudi Arabia.
  • Hold aBachelors degree in Accounting or a relevant field from arecognized and approved program.
  • An advanceddegree is preferred.
  • Possess certificationssuch as CPA or CA which are highly desirable.
  • Have a minimum of ten years of experience in complexmultinational global tax matters including expertise in tax mattersin regions such as the US EU UK APAC and MENA.
  • Demonstrate deep experience with taxaccounting.
  • Possess an understanding of SaudiArabia tax laws which is preferable.
