SUMMARY To liaise with the Reservoir FluidsManager and PVT Lab Technicians to ensure the smooth running of theCalgary PVT Laboratory
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES 1.0 Responsibility andAuthority 1.1 To perform PVT andcompositional analyses data review and evaluation to ensure a highquality end product. 1.2 Schedule work anddeadlines to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner. 1.3 Responsible for turnaround time inlaboratory ensuring clients requirements are met or exceeded. 1.4 Responsible to ensure effective clientcommunication 1.5 Responsible for issue ofweekly client status reports. 1.6Responsible to ensure only high quality PVT lab reports are issued 1.7 Provide for the effective selectionmotivation compensation and training of personnel. 1.8 Determine equipment and laboratoryneeds and provide for acquisition. 1.9Monitor revenue and expenses to ensure that financial targets aremet. 1.10 Review PVT lab personneltimecards to ensure all staff are in compliance and report toReservoir Fluids Manager any discrepancies. 1.11 Provide a safe efficient workplace for employees and ensurethat all safety infractions are addressed in a timely manner. 1.12 Complies with all health safety andquality management system requirement.
2.0Primary Duties 2.1 Remain in constantcontact with Reservoir Fluids Manager and PVT Lab Technicians toimplement overtime for scheduling of work in meeting both clientsrequirements and financial targets. 2.2Knowledgeable with QA/QC procedures General Operating Proceduresand Standard Operating Procedures and is responsible for ensuringimplementation in the lab. 2.3 Ensure thatall work is invoiced correctly in a timely manner (ensure that any3rd party rebills are included within invoices when applicable). 2.4 Ensure that PVT Lab staff receive anyrequired training and that training records are updated. 2.5 Attend client meetings and provideclient presentations where required. 2.6Must interact with clients to establish objectives providetechnical information recommend additional testing resolve problemsrelate the status of projects and promote future business. 2.7 Must interact with the technicalservices group to establish objectives and define requirements ofall projects initiated by this group. 2.8Must interact with sales attend sales meetings and keep abreast ofquotes. 2.9 Remain knowledgeable of theproper operation calibration and maintenance of equipment. 2.10 Provide direct supervision to specialjobs to ensure that proper procedures and methodology are followed. 2.11 Establish quality control guidelinesin concert with the QA/QC coordinator that are to be utilized inthe department to assure accurate analytical results. 2.12 May be required to write technicalinterpretations for smaller projects that are directly controlledby the supervisor. 2.13 Ensure the qualityprocess is being effectively maintained in the group. 2.14 Perform other assigned duties toensure that projects are completed on an accurate and timely basis. 2.15 Ensure Standard Operating Proceduresare current for his/her department. 2.16Ensure the quality process and calibration program are effectivelymaintained within the group. 2.17 Be awareof Quality Assurance in all daily work activities with the clientsand report any problem or nonconformance to your manager and/or QA& Safety Supervisor.
EDUCATION Must have a Diploma in Petroleum Sciencesor similar
