Purpose of Role

The Business Analyst at Remarkable Group works closely with our clients to develop use cases and user stories, and elicit functional and non-functional requirements. The BA will then translate these into actionable outputs for developers and other internal resources to refine, build, and test solutions.

Working within the Engineering Team, the BA must synchronise effectively with other functions within Engineering (Development, Testing, QA) as well as other teams (Delivery, UX, Design, CRO, Sitecore Optimisation Consultancy etc), from project inception to closure.

The BA will work to our established standards, as well as feed into the development of the BA practice outputs and processes. This is a client facing role and therefore building and maintaining close relationships with our clients is essential.

Key Accountabilities

  • Elicit, prioritise, define, document and manage requirements across the project and solutions lifecycle using agile working practices

  • Write effective user stories and acceptance criteria using Jira and Confluence and business process modelling tools

  • Define user journeys and interactions

  • Business process mapping

  • Provide requirements engineering and business analysis leadership and support to project/delivery managers, account managers, Development and QA team to help ensure quality business and functional/ technical solutions are managed

  • Set up industry best practices, tools and technologies and improve agency wide business analysis artefacts and processes

  • Assist project/delivery managers and project team in planning and estimating for BA & requirements engineering tasks and help ensure the required tasks are delivered within the required project constraints

  • Facilitate workshops and conduct interviews with client stakeholders

  • Support and coordinate UAT and successful implementation activities

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong direct hands-on experience as a Business Analyst within a digital business (ideally a digital agency, but not essential) involved in delivering numerous technology projects – small, medium and large (transformation) scale

  • Must be proficient in understanding of software engineering, digital and web application development and requirements/business engineerin

  • Having a strong and in-depth knowledge of agile methodology and its relevance to business analysis

  • Exceptional attention to detail and uncompromising attitude to quality, delivery and time management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Willingness to adopt to - and pick up - new technologies and solutions, and work with others to also effectively adopt to it

  • An understanding of digital UX and design principles is beneficial

Previous Experience and Skills

  • Worked in an agile (Scrum/Kanban) project methodologies and an understanding of other project delivery methodologies will be highly desirable

  • Having previous experience in enterprise level CMS platforms (e.g. Sitecore) will be a distinct advantage.

  • Must be fluent in English (spoken & written) and ability to effectively communicate to teams and clients globally across multicultural locations.

  • Agile certification - CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) will be highly desirable, alongside experience of operating in an agile agency delivery environment.

  • Ideally candidates will have experience in a similar role for a Digital Agency

  • Must have fluent Arabic and ideally be a Saudi national
