Neurophysiology Technician

PURPOSE

To perform neuro-physiology procedures for adult and pediatric patients referred for these procedures from the out patients clinic, in patient department and external doctors within the framework set by Fakeeh Care.

JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform short routine EEG recording
2. Perform Long term Video EEG monitoring
3. Perform bedside EEG recording.
4. Carry out Nerve Conduction Test
5. Conduct evoked potential testing, visual and Somatosensory.
6. Assist Neurology Doctor's to perform EMG advanced NCV and VEP.
7. Type and fill reports of each patient.
8. Arrange appointment for PSG,PAP Titration, EEG,EMG-NCV and VEP
9. Perform routine equipment's care, maintenance and inventory evaluation in collaboration with biomedical engineer.
10. Reports safety or operational concerns to chairperson of Neurosciences.
11. Performs all procedures in a timely and professional manner
12. Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as 'the patient is the center of our care'.

Other Job Functions:

1. Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person Centered Care values.
2. Adherence to all policies, plans, and programs within the Fakeeh Care.
3. Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines.
4. Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management, and document management systems.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Word in mandatory typing skills of 20 words per minute or higher.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Completion of neurophysiology procedures training in the hospital or pre-employment training session from an accredited facility.
• Experience: 2 -3 Year's as or EEG/NCV/EP technician with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
• Language: Arabic/ English
