Facilities Director

One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a Facilities Director, with 9+ years of experience In the Ship building industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:

Job Overview

Ensure the adequacy and efficiency of all Shipyard systems in accordance with assigned
objectives. Additionally, organizing activities related to various services such as site
cleaning, waste management, and the oversight of Temporary Storage.

Strategic Responsibilites

• Align section goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
• Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;
  planning and evaluating organizational unit activities.
• Define objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of
  action, and evaluates outcomes.
• Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual
  budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.

Managerial Responsibilites

• Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
• Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
• Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives
  efficiently.
• Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
• Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and
  negotiate business related issues to senior management.
• Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Functional Responsibilites

• Manage the maintenance, servicing, and calibration of equipment used in shipbuilding and maintenance operations, including cranes, electrical equipment, and other equipment.
• Manage the development and execution of a comprehensive maintenance program for all company facilities, including shipyards, dry docks, workshops, and administrative buildings.
• Ensure the efficiency of plant systems by conducting regular checks and maintenance, as well as executing necessary repair interventions.
• Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and execution of repairs and maintenance
  activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address and rectify technical deficiencies
  promptly.
• Monitor equipment performance and address issues to prevent breakdowns or delays in production.
• Identify the engineering needs of the plant and communicate them to the relevant
  organizational units, overseeing the completion of approved intervention proposals.
• Coordinate with internal workshops or external companies to carry out service activities aligned with production requirements.
  Monitor productivity elements, taking corrective measures as needed to achieve the center's objectives.
• Propose initiatives to optimize operational costs and enhance efficiency.
  Conduct routine inspections of the shipyard in collaboration with involved organizational units, and coordinate with relevant government bodies as required.
• Manage the shipyard facility's master data using specialized software, record
  intervention requests, develop and oversee maintenance plans, and handle the
  assignment of work orders, including the extraction of statistical data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any other similar field.
• Above 9 years of experience in related field including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Master's Degree in Engineering or any other similar field.
