One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a C.I. Methods Director, with 9+ years of experience in the Shipbuilding industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:
Job Overview
Guide the formulation of production methodologies, technological applications, and the
oversight of associated processes, while also driving the industrialization of the product.
Strategic Responsibilites
- Align section goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
- Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;
planning and evaluating organizational unit activities. - Define objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of
action, and evaluates outcomes. - Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual
budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. - Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.
Managerial Responsibilites
- Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
- Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
- Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives
efficiently. - Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
- Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and
negotiate business related issues to senior management. - Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Functional Responsibilites
- Manage the identification of areas for improvement, set goals, and develop strategies to achieve performance targets.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify the underlying issues causing inefficiencies or defects in processes, accordingly, implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.
- Lead the integration of technology solutions to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage the execution of Production Engineering (PE) tasks to ensure efficient
manufacturing processes., while ensuring standardized best practices and methods in shipbuilding, maintenance, and repair processes. - Facilitate collaboration among the PE team, which consists of individuals from Production Planning & Control, and Production Centers Collaborate to conduct initial production planning.
- Manage the production process analysis and identify construction methods tailored to shipyard systems.
- Ensure proper coordination of Pallet Meetings regarding handling, loading, and
stowing of palletized cargo on ships with Planning and Production Control and any
other concerned organization units at the company. - Oversee the design of methodological studies for new construction projects or specific initiatives focused on enhancing product and production processes.
- Oversee the methodology of production processes within the Shipyard.
- Manage the identification and evaluation of new technologies, tools, and software that can enhance process efficiency.
- Coordinate activities within the Shipyard for the creation of Ship Mock-ups, as outlined in the Specification, to be presented to the Owner Representative (OR).
- Develop and maintain a repository of shipyard standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for various tasks.
- Contribute to the identification and development of Investment Plans (CAPEX),
collaborating with Shipyard Services and ensuring their validation. - Develop the Annual Activity Plan for CI and methods.
- Manage the assistance for conducting tests in the Test Room/building.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
- Above 9 years of experience in related field including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
