Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineering – Civil to join our team Project Engineer provides technical support to project management across all disciplines to coordinate the development and implementation of the engineering portions of assigned projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

Reviews A/E contractor design drawings, specifications, and calculations submittals and coordinates with the work of other disciplines.

Assist in coordinating the compilation of technical portions of Requests for Proposal (RFP) for both the design and construction portions of assigned projects. Analyzes data pertaining to client requirements to assist in the definition of technical aspects of detailed scope of work.

Coordinate with engineering the development of design specifications, and ensure adequate information is provided for clarity of interpretation of the required scope of work.

Participates in the technical evaluation of potential bidders for contracts on assigned projects, and in recommending shortlists of qualified contractors. Coordinates the technical analysis and evaluation of bids proposed.

Assist in compiling technical portions of definitive contracts.

Monitors technical progress of A/E contractor. Coordinate the review of design drawings, specifications, manuals, shop drawings, vendor data, calculations and other technical information submitted by the A/E construction contractor for all phases of the contract.

Provide requested technical information to A/E or construction contractor regarding the interpretation of specifications, and other technical guidance as required. Requests technical information or clarification of submitted data from A/E construction contractor as required.

Prepare reports and presentations on assigned projects

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years. Design experience in general civil works is necessary at least for 2 years. Professional registration in the appropriate discipline is desirable. The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential. A proven record of technical and administrative ability in design management. Must be knowledgeable about the standards of civil work. Conversant and has working knowledge of Industry Standard software in CE design.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

The candidate must have excellent oral and written English communication skills, must be self-directed, and must have demonstrated project analysis, management, and presentation skills. Computer literate with experience using MS Office packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation).
