Eram Talent, a leading talent acquisition consultancy, is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Dredging Chief Surveyor for our client's offshore operations. As a Dredging Chief Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing surveying activities related to dredging operations offshore.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate surveying activities for dredging projects offshore
  • Supervise a team of surveyors in collecting and analyzing data on seabed conditions, dredging progress, and positioning
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and accuracy of survey data
  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software, such as multibeam echosounders and positioning systems
  • Analyze survey data, produce detailed reports, and communicate findings to project stakeholders
  • Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize dredging operations
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and regulations in dredging surveying
  • Provide guidance and training to junior surveyors and ensure adherence to safety procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Dredging Chief Surveyor in an offshore environment
  • Expertise in using advanced surveying equipment and software, such as multibeam echosounders and positioning systems
  • Strong knowledge of hydrographic survey principles, data analysis, and reporting
  • Experience in managing surveying teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Thorough understanding of safety procedures and guidelines in offshore operations
