Consultant Colorectal Surgeon

Our client is looking to hire a General/Colorectal Surgeon for his specialty in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

Manage diseases of the intestinal tract, including the colon, rectum, anal canal, and perianal area. Treat
conditions of the intestinal tract including:
. Abscesses and fistulae - infections near the anus and rectum.
. Anal skin tags - small bumps of skin around the anus.
. Colon and rectal cancer
. Diverticulitis - a disease in which pouches form in weak spots along the digestive tract.
. Fissures - small tears in the anal lining.
. Hemorrhoids - swollen veins that can occur internally or externally around the anus.
. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
. Polyps - precancerous growths that have the potential to become colorectal cancer.
. Rectal prolapse - a condition in which the rectum begins to fall from its position into the anal opening.
. Pelvic floor conditions

The position entails the surgeon performing the followingprocedures :
. Anoscopy.
. Colonoscopy.
. Digital rectal exams.
. Endorectal ultrasound.
. Proctoscopy.
. Sigmoidoscopy.

RequirementsRequirements

To be considered, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Must have a doctor of medicine degree or equivalent from an approved school of medicine is mandatory, with not less than 3 years specialty training in an accredited surgeon residency program
  
• Relevant license as outlined by a nationally recognized Medical certifying body is mandatory
  
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic fluency is an advantage.
  
• Possess very good interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Willing to be based in Saudi Arabia.
