Business contribution


The Business Controller is primarily responsible for controlling of the entities in his/her countries of responsibility through financial control (including financial reporting and analyses thereof), financial business support, transfer pricing, forecasting and optimization of financial processes.

The Business Controller is part of the financial team of Enerpac ESSA and keeps close contact with management and colleagues of other disciplines and entities.

The Business Controller works independently and reports to the Director of Finance Service - ESSA.

He/she is responsible for the development and maintenance of financial reports, analyzing and verifying the financial results of the entities and working closely with (local / regional) commercial managers.

The Business Controller is able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. In addition, he/she is disciplined in working with tight deadlines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business controlling of Enerpac/Hydratight entities of the region;
  • Providing timely, correct and complete reports of monthly results, forecasts and budgets;
  • Acting as sparring partner for local management and the general manager
  • Reviewing quotes, contracts (legal conditions), margins, etc.
  • Developing reports and implementing controlling tools;
  • Reviewing/analyzing reports for the entities, interpretation of deviations and proactive reporting about this to local/regional business management;
  • Responsible for for managing and submitting all Local Saudi statutory obligations not limited to Tax Returns / Zacta/ WHT / VAT / etc
  • Developing measuring instruments, key ratios, strategic data, providing performance measurements benchmarking reports etc;
  • Initiating and implementing improvement projects, together with local/regional business management, in order to improve financial results;
  • Drafting and substantiating requests for investments;
  • Longterm responsibility for the optimization of financial processes;
  • Optimizing local business support systems if required;
  • Providing a correct design of financial and production processes in the ERP information system;
  • Taking part in multifunctional project teams;
  • Maintaining contacts with external parties, such as accountants, payment agencies and legal experts;
  • Supervising and/or initiating invoicing process of larger projects, making Percentage of Completion assessments and calculations;
  • Drafting weekly and quarterly forecasts for management and US;
  • Be an active member of the local management team and support the local general manager
  • Supporting the day to day business
  • Providing support to the local manufacturing leaders
  • Taking part in S&OP meetings and commercial/outlook meetings
  • Working together with the shared service center for AR/AP and GL accounting
  • Ensuring all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization. Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement
  • Representing the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times

Required capabilities

  • A high level of accuracy is demanded
  • A businesseconomic education, completed with studies in accounting principles is a must
  • Good knowledge of the English language is a must
  • The level of knowledge must be equivalent to a minimum degree qualification with 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word is required as well as knowledge of ERP software
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus
