Project Overview:


Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete.

The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system.

Riyadh's population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030.

The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Mechanical engineer with +7 years' experience in building and Station projects preferably in KSA. Hands on Engineering, and technical expertise.
  • Design of building mechanical system and producing mechanical system design, drawings, calculation, and all engineering documents including HVAC, Fire Protection & Plumbing.
  • Coordinates the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a project, or designated portions of a project, for a global business unit.
  • Have technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments.
  • Have technical responsibilities to reviews project engineering documents, material selection, shop drawings, specification, calculation against the project requirement and tender documents

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Evaluates mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting) and products by designing and conducting verification.
  • Participates in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs and codes.
  • Reviews project engineering documents, material selection, shop drawings, specification, calculation against the project requirement and tender documents
  • Provides technical and engineering support for daily construction issues
  • Works with senior engineers to develop alternatives and options to solve and close the technical issues.
  • Responsible for the systems interface between consortia members and validating the design subcontractor inputs to satisfy the system requirements.
  • Performs and manages the work in accordance with relevant Engineering Documents, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Prepares / Review project procedures for engineering, as required.
  • Manage the design interface between the civil works schedule, system requirements of consortia members, and the quality of design contractor products.
  • Oversight and interface for integrating the various engineering and systems engineering disciplines (HVAC, MEP, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, BMS & fire alarm) necessary to achieve the performance requirements of the tender with the Civil Works.
  • Establishing, Organizing and Conducting workshops and meetings in order to close the technical issue and support the construction process.
  • Producing and reviewing technical specifications for equipment anticipating suppliers' requirements to coordinate equipment interfaces for design and construction work.
  • Resolves fieldinitiated questions on engineering.
  • Reviews project engineering progress against approved schedules, evaluates changes and takes corrective action when required.
