Your role

We're seeking a Regulatory Reporting Manager for our Finance team. You will be crucial in ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and meticulously managing the fulfillment of our regulatory reporting obligations.

Drawing on your proficiency in overseeing the regulatory reporting processes, staying ahead with all the latest regulatory updates, you will be responsible for implementing necessary adjustments to reporting procedures, and driving automation for all recurring regulatory reports to create unique experiences only Tamara can provide.

With a proven track record of experience in fintech, tech, or finance, deep understanding of accounting principles and IFRS reporting standards, and ultimately revolutionize the way millions of users shop, pay, and bank.

Your responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure timely submission and adherence to regulatory reporting requirements in close collaboration with the compliance team.
  • Interpret regulatory guidelines and assess their impact on the organization's operations and reporting obligation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Regulatory Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reports (monthly, quarterly, and yearly regulatory pack/surveys) for all group entities within the finance department, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary data and information for regulatory reporting purposes.
  • Review regulatory reports for compliance and internal standards before submission.

Audit and Examination Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory examinations and audits, coordinating responses and providing requested information and documentation.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of regulatory reporting processes to identify areas of improvement and ensure regulatory reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Process Optimization and Automation:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in regulatory reporting and implement streamlined solutions.
  • Liaison with internal teams to drive automation and development of new requirements, including reports and data sets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal and Compliance to implement compliance initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on regulatory requirements and reporting obligations to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Your expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA or equivalent certificate.
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, specifically dealing with regulatory bodies such as SAMA or UAECB.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements, including but not limited to SAMA (Saudi Central Bank) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to the internal stakeholders at all levels in the organization. Arabic speakers are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Proven track record in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly management regulatory reporting packs.
  • Proficient with advanced excel, and other financial reporting tools. Familiarity with SQL and Python is considered an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
