Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for largescale real estate development projects.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive project budgets.
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost comparisons for different construction materials and methods.
  • Update and maintain cost databases and historical data for future reference.
  • Utilize BIM tools and software to support the estimation process.
  • Collaborate with BIM coordinators to ensure accurate and uptodate project models.
  • Integrate BIM data into cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between BIM models and project documents.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost implications of design changes.
  • Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Prepare detailed estimate reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Document assumptions, methodologies, and sources used in the estimation process.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimaterelated documents and communications.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in real estate development.
  • Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Professional certification is a plus.
