We are seeking a Legal Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of legal documents, performing sensitive administrative work, representing the company in courts or governmental entities, and providing support in scheduling and organising legal activities.

As a Legal Officer, your daily workload might include:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
  • Perform sensitive administrative work on a daily basis, and effectively communicate the company/department objectives as required by the management
  • Continuously maintain and keep the legal database up to date, effectively and efficiently using cases and contracts management tools
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Schedule meetings and subpoenas, organising and filing important legal documents such as agreements, KYCs, Due diligence forms and lawsuit papers, as well as proficiently performing typing and data entry
  • Serve as the company representative in courts or any governmental entities
  • Prepare forms, support letters, and other documents accurately according to information received from the management
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and investigations to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organisation and provide updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct legal research reviewing judicial precedents, domestic and international laws, journals,

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Excellent bilingual verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in English with a strong emphasis on drafting skills
  • Ability to review and summarise legal documents & research legal issues
  • Strong research and analytical skills to effectively navigate and interpret legal regulations and industry practices
  • Demonstrated passion for IT laws and regulations, along with a willingness to acquire knowledge in the legal aspects concerning the Tech industry
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Must be Humble, Excellent, Relevant with a high sense of Ownership
