Job Description:

AECOM Arabia are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to join our team.

The Procurement Lead is responsible for developing and implementing best practice procurement strategies to manage vendor relationships and ensure the efficient and effective procurement of goods, services, and works for the program.

This role identifies and develops essential procurement processes and commercial documentation that align with and include all necessary capital program best practice governance elements.

Additionally, the Procurement Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to drive procurement excellence, achieve cost savings, and mitigate risks across the entire Program.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to support the objectives of the program and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance for leading the procurement process, including vendor selection, bidding, negotiation, and contract management for goods, services, and works required for the program.
  • Conduct market research, supplier evaluations, and supplier performance assessments to identify potential suppliers, assess capabilities, and ensure the selection of qualified and reliable vendors.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define procurement requirements, specifications, and scopes of work, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards.
  • Lead and advise on the development and management of procurement plans, schedules, and budgets, optimizing procurement processes and timelines.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies, including supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supplier capabilities to identify costsaving opportunities and innovative procurement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements, maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within largescale projects or organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, practices, and methodologies.
  • Experience in managing endtoend procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience with procurement software and systems.
