What You'll Be Doing:

  • Directly reporting to the Senior Package Director, the Senior Construction Manager:
  • With the Package Construction Managers, Prepares the Construction Management Plan for the major elements of THE LINE works with early engagement in project planning, constructability, modern methods of working
  • Leads the overall CPMT Construction operations under the Senior Package Director including recruiting and hiring of Packcage Construction Managers
  • In cooperation with the Quality and HSW teams, enforces related construction phase standards, procedures, and staffing for compliance
  • Directs the mobilization of multiple contracted parties following THE LINE procedures
  • Senior construction oversight and interface with the senior management of the contracted parties from kickoff through commissioning and handover
  • Primary interface for the construction teams with THE LINE Site Logistics to provide the strategy and direction for shortterm logístical requirements for construction delivery.
  • Provides weekly updates to Project Controls and Risk leads for THE LINE reporting on all CPMT contracts in the construction phase
  • Leads the coordination and cooperation activities between THE LINE Projects and The Spine construction management teams

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 4year degree in engineering or constructionrelated field with 20 years constructionrelated work experience in the construction on mega projects including bridges, tunnels, foundations for big towers.
  • Have exposure to waterproofing, seismic movement, expansion, and contraction.
  • Previous experience in the development, implementation, and handover of facilities.
  • Deep understanding of the construction process, including:
  • Construction materials and methods
  • Building codes and regulations
  • Project management principles
  • Safety procedures
  • Financial management
  • Contract law Expected skills are:
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and workers
  • Plan and organize projects effectively
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently
  • Solve problems and make decisions under pressure
  • Lead and motivate teams
  • Oversee construction projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality Desired experience includes:
  • Knowledge of construction management software, such as Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera P6 Professional
  • Experience with construction project scheduling and budgeting
  • Experience with managing subcontractors and suppliers
  • Experience with construction safety and quality control
  • Experience with contract administration
  • Experience with leading and motivating teams
  • Sustainable construction practices
  • Lean construction principles
  • Building information modeling (BIM)
  • Dispute resolution
