Job Description and Qualifications

V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
An approved QAQC Welding Engineer / NDT Coordinator has the responsibility and commensurate authority to accomplish the following duties:

  • Reporting Directly to the Site QAQC Manager.
  • Monitoring and implementation of QMS Procedures, PQP, ITP & method statements and reporting deviations from the management system and contractual requirements of the project.
  • Verifying that all necessary inspections and tests, as required on the project and by statutory regulations, are carried out and appropriate records are updated and maintained.
  • Review / approved NDE procedures.
  • WPS / PQR review and approval Control of Weld Defect / Rejection rates and Repair actions / penalty status.
  • Review results of Radiography/, UT(MUT
  • Manual UT), AUT (Automatic UT
  • ToFD or Phased Array), Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrant Testing.
  • Verification of implementation of corrective & preventive actions against the nonconformities and reporting results to Quality Manager.
  • Preparation and review of final quality dossiers / test packs.
  • Compile and submit weekly report to QAQC Manager.
  • Liaise with QAQC Manager for all aspects of quality.

This position is accountable for the following end results:

V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**- Diploma holder or bachelor's degree -in Relevant discipline Engineering.

  • Total 12 year of Experience of which 08yrs QC experience with direct scope description as Welding inspector/or supervisor.
  • Saudi Aramco CBT Passed & project Approval.
  • Knowledge of the ISO9000 series International Standards
  • Hold current Welding Inspector Certification in either CSWIP3.1 or AWS.
  • Welding CSWIP 3.2, PCN or aramco RTFI certified (Preferred Qualification)
  • Familiarity with Codes ASME IX, ASME B31.3, ASME V, ASTM and API.
  • ASNT Level II NDT qualifications by ASNT (or equivalent nationally recognized and Approved program) in RT, MT, PT & UT.(Preferred Qualification)
  • Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel
  • Report writing skills
  • Experience of working in a multicultural project team
  • Middle East project experience

  • Saudi Aramco CBT Passed & approval.
