About Us

Position Summary


Your key focus will be to lead day-to-day activity on our engagements, building our Sustainability practice and developing the team.

The role is based in KSA and may require travel.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Develop sustainability key performance indicators, strategies and management plans for planning and design projects and implement them throughout the project duration.
  • Develop sustainability polices, standards, procedures and guidelines at organisational or portfolio levels for key clients.
  • Develop sustainability/ESG programmes and reporting through materiality assessment, benchmarking, gap analysis, KPI identification and stakeholder engagement.
  • Champion high standards of sustainability performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal sustainability outcomes.
  • Manage technical and commercial aspects of bid development and project delivery while drawing in expertise from our global SNC-L and AtkinsRéalis group.
  • Support business development with opportunity identification, proposal development and thought leadership.
  • Meet with regulatory authorities and certification bodies and obtaining statutory and certification approvals for sustainability components of projects.
  • Gather data and research information from a range of sources to provide clear, wellwritten technical reports.
  • Competently undertake own work to an excellent standard and review the work of others, on time and to budget.
  • Being able to manage clients' needs in a confident, professional manner.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to our junior staff; lead peoplerelated initiatives including recruiting and retaining consulting professionals.

Education

  • Educated to Degree qualified level or equivalent qualification or experience, degree in Sustainability or other related fields is preferable.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Sustainability Consulting, preferably from Big 4 or other strategy/management consulting firms.
  • At least 2 years Middle East experience.
  • Carbon/GHG accounting based on, e.g. GHG Protocol, PAS 2080, SBTi, etc.
  • ESG/Sustainability reporting based on, e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, GRESB, ISSB, etc.
  • Green building certification advisory for, e.g. LEED, Estidama, Mostadam, etc.
  • Modelling such as energy/thermal, microclimate, BIM, GIS, carbon/GHG, etc. a plus.
  • Regional experience of multidisciplinary work in largescale master planning, design and infrastructure projects.
  • Relevant technical experience and knowledge of wholelife carbon assessment, analytical tools for embodied and operational carbon, climate risk management, Net Zero Carbon roadmap for largescale portfolios.
  • Experience of development of complex technical reports in line with local/regional regulatory requirements and international best practices.

  • Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills and able to review the work of others to ensure quality.
  • Able to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and prepared to take on new challenges and work from other AtkinsRéalis or client office locations.
  • Be highly selfmotivated, possessing strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.
