The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of an organization, including managing accounting processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis for the KSA region.

This role involves leading a team of accountants, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the daytoday accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Lead and develop a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management for decisionmaking.
  • Oversee the monthend and yearend closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to facilitate the annual financial audit and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize financial processes.
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, and other stakeholders to manage banking relationships, negotiate favourable terms, and resolve financial issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years' experience as an accountant in Travel Industry
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to take initiative
