About the Role:

  • SoftLabs is looking for a skilled .Net Developer for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting firm in Australia
  • The .Net Developer will collaborate with the project team to improve the existing code and meet the requirements for enhancements. Success in this role hinges on the individual's ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, fit well culturally, and challenge conventional thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance a C# based, n-tier, enterprise software and associated documentation
  • Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment, including .NET Core
  • Follow Agile Methodology for software development utilizing tools like Azure
  • Collaborate with technical and business staff to promptly resolve issues
  • Offer analysis on complex issues and support policy formulation and project coordination
  • Supervise a team to ensure high-quality outputs and develop team members
  • Build and nurture key internal and external relationships
  • Provide specialist advice, guidance, and reporting
  • Make informed decisions and contribute to election preparation and delivery activities
  • Perform additional duties or functions as directed

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile Software Development Methodologies & Experience with Visual Studio
  • Backend development experience with web API and SQL
  • Strong experience in SDLC
  • Developing automated application build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment
  • Experience with cloud-based applications
  • Ability to produce well-designed, documented, and testable solutions
  • Peer review of developed products
  • Setting priorities effectively and delivering quality results on time
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven analytical abilities and promoting business improvement
  • Manage staff, encourage career development, and maintain personal integrity

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of Australian electoral law
  • Australian Citizenship with a willingness to undergo security vetting
  • Experience in Cloud-based solutions
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure Dev
  • Technical analysis skills
  • Implement integration requirements for end-to-end solutions
