  • Our client is looking for a

MPD Engineer for work in
-
Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities of the
MPD Engineer:

  • Gathering well data and preparation of
    MPD design of service.
  • Rigging up and configure all electronic and network components of the GB Setpoint System.
  • Alongside service leaders, facilitate onsite crew training.
  • Participate in pre and post job meetings with operations.
  • Gather all relevant well information and update it in the system.
  • Elaborate and send
    MPD daily graphic and
    MPD daily report.
  • Perform all required hydraulic simulations.
  • Update all relevant information and documents VDR+.
  • Perform pore pressure tests and FIT as required by client representative.
  • Elaborate step chart for well displacements and cement operations with
    MPD.
  • Perform all engineering tasks related to the
    MPD operation including pipe light calculations and surge/swab calculations.
  • Give technical advice to the client representative on site or office.
  • Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and comply with all applicable QHSE guidelines.
  • Participate actively in prejob and safety meetings.
  • Ensure that all personnel are following prescribed
    MPD operational and safety procedures.
  • Monitor all parameters during the
    MPD operation
  • Keep track of RCD performance and record in
    MPD daily report.
  • Troubleshoot any problem related to the software or network of the
    MPD systems.
  • Elaborate onsite game plans.
  • Gather and document all lessons learned and opportunities of improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a
    MPD Engineer.
  • Solid understanding of the oil and gas industry, drilling processes, and the principles of managed pressure drilling.
  • Understanding the operation of surface and downhole equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Wellversed in safety protocols and regulations.
  • Capable of installing new versions of the software and able to update the system periodically as needed.
