Job Description:

  • Supervises quality assurance inspection staff and subconsultants to verify the work is performed in compliance with the plans and specifications;
  • Supports the RE/SRE in assuming the Engineer's Delegate role in administering the Contract Administration.
  • Monitors and assumes responsibility for the safety of AECOM's Staff and Contractor's personnel.
  • Coordinates and communicates with the Client, Authorities and Contractors personnel.
  • Processes daily project documentation and construction observations.
  • Prepares, issues and tracks Contractor's Non-Conformance reports.
  • Reviews Inspectors' and Subconsultants' Daily Work Reports.
  • Prepares correspondence to the Contractor and Client.
  • May provide technical direction to Engineers, Inspectors and Surveyors.
  • Leads Weekly Progress Meetings with the Client, Contractor and other team members in the absence of the RE.
  • Maintains project documents in accordance with Company and Client requirements.
  • Prepares monthly project status updates.
  • Performs other duties as required by the work and assigned by the RE/SRE.
  • Performs walkdowns and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.
  • Assumes people management responsibilities such as daily timekeeping, performance management, annual performance review and the development and mentoring of staff.
  • Should know FIDIC based contracts or equivalent.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience (GCC exposure is preferred)
  • QA/QC manager project title
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (quality field)
  • Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQ certification (CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE).
