QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • Must have a hotel and fine dining experience.
  • Must have formal culinary education or training in a culinary arts

  • With practical experience in a professional kitchen or as a Salad
Maker. Previous experience in salad preparation or as a salad chef is

preferred.

  • Should have strong knife skills, an understanding of ingredient
pairing, and the ability to create visually appealing salads.

Knowledge of salad dressings and sauces is essential.

  • Have the ability to combine ingredients in creative and appealing
ways, experiment with new salad recipes, and adapt to seasonal

offerings is beneficial.

  • Strong attention to detail is important for achieving consistent taste,
texture, and visual appeal in salads.

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food handling
standards is crucial for maintaining a safe and sanitary salad

preparation area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Select and prepare a wide range of fresh ingredients, including
vegetables, fruits, nuts, cheese, and proteins, for salad preparation.

  • Create salads by combining prepared ingredients in visually
appealing arrangements, often following established recipes or

guidelines. Ensure that portion sizes and ratios of ingredients are

consistent.

  • Prepare salad dressings, vinaigrettes, and sauces from scratch,
ensuring they are of high quality and flavor.

  • Pay special attention to the visual presentation of salads, arranging
ingredients in an attractive and artistic manner.

  • Ensure that all salads meet the restaurant's specifications for taste,
texture, and appearance. Conduct taste tests and visual inspections

to maintain consistency.

  • Monitor and manage inventory of salad ingredients, place orders as
needed, and report inventory levels to the kitchen manager or head

chef.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food safety and
hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness in the salad preparation

area and ensure a sanitary work environment.

  • Interact with customers, take salad orders, answer questions about
ingredients or menu items, and ensure that customers' requests are

met.

  • Manage the timing of salad preparation to ensure that salads are
ready for service according to established schedules.

  • Address issues or challenges that may arise during salad
preparation, such as ingredient shortages or recipe adjustments
