A recruiter is seeking an Execution Management Director.

JOB PURPOSE:

The job holder is responsible for selecting and engaging with best fit construction contractors, reviewing and recommending needed adjustments to contractors submittals, participating in committees for site handing over and constantly track project progress to recommend corrective actions when needed and approve raised variation order after ensuring alignment with set budget and scope of work.

ROLES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Contribute to the development of Engineering Projects business plan ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategy
  2. Develop the operational plan for Execution Management in line with Engineering Projects business plan and Engineering Affairs strategic plan Implement plans and provide input to enable achievement of Execution Management goals that support the organisations overall strategic plans
  3. Discuss Execution Management budgeting requirements with top management and provide input to the budgeting process
  4. Ensure effective utilization of Execution Management budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
  5. Investigate and propose implementing initiatives that result in positive financial impact for Execution Management and mitigates financial and operational risks
  6. Oversee execution process guidelines and objectives ensuring alignment with design objectives
  7. Review and select best-fit construction contractors based on expertise and proposed execution plan to ensure effective construction activities
  8. Conduct meeting with internal stakeholders to review construction submittals and recommend needed adjustments and changes
  9. Lead project kick-off meeting after approving the final submittals with contractors to agree on timeline, measurable milestones and divide tasks between internal stakeholders and contractors
  10. Participate in committees responsible of site handing over securing entry permits for contractors to facilitate implementation of execution activities
  11. Review constantly progress reports and discuss highlighted discrepancies and concerns with related stakeholders to assess the gaps between the plan and execution providing related corrective actions and ways of improvement
  12. Participate in regular meetings with contractors to discuss site updates and potential changes and recommend accordingly needed corrective actions
  13. Ensure construction contractors presentation of variation order to study and approve the changes ensuring alignment with budget and scope of work
  14. Review construction contractor s performance ensuring alignment with contracts requirements to facilitate future engagement when needed Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent Guide, mentor and support direct reports in order to execute duties according to set policies and processes
  15. Develop individual performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise team and provide regular feedback on performance
  16. Establish a high-performance working environment and promote the organisations values

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  1. An optimal of 8 years of relevant experience, with a preferred 3 years of experience in managerial level
  2. Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent is required
  3. Master s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent is preferred
