JOB PURPOSE


BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.

We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.


BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.

The purpose of this role is to lead all Forward Maintenance Avionics aircraft tradesmen. Control and supervise personnel and resources pertinent to the Avionics aircraft trade in order to ensure that continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft are carried out in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia SALAM Maintenance Organisation Exposition and associated Quality

Management System in the Forward Maintenance environment.

Certifying, within the terms of the authorisations issued, that maintenance has been carried out in accordance with approved data, regulatory framework and the BAE Systems Maintenance Organisation Exposition.

The job holder will supervise BAE Systems staff, Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) personnel as well as perform mentoring and consolidation development of these tradesmen in the Line (Forward) Maintenance environment

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deputising for the Production Superintendent in their absence. (Ensuring all aurthorisations are held to be able to deputise, F700 Coord, Reconcile etc)
  • Managing their available manpower by coordinating with Maintenance Management and Production Lead to ensure aircraft generation and flying requirements are achieved this includes: Leave, shift allocation, support to flight line (launch and recovery), EOR duty and Hit Team duty.
  • Managing their manpower to ensure adherence to the use of approved data.
  • Manage engineering authorisations and ensure that personnel are retrained/reauthorised to maintain efficient support to the operation.
  • Carry out independent checks of ESS for consistency and accuracy.
  • Carry out PMDS downloads and assess arisings including SHM and EHM analysis.
  • Carry out independent checks on flight safety critical systems as mandated in regulatory framework.
  • Liaise with the training department and coordinate RSAF consolidation training within their trade.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring for assigned BAE Systems SA and RSAF personnel including annual ePDRs
  • Ensuring personal standards are maintained and adherence to the Code of Conduct (CoC) and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) by their assigned manpower.
  • Welfare and discipline of all assigned BAE Systems staff under their control in conjunction with other Management and Supervisory staff.
  • Counterpart development of assigned RSAF personnel to achieve 2nd and 3rd Signature levels (Certifying Staff).
  • Support and participate in the reporting of ALL Product Safety & Environmental "OCCURRENCES", promoting a "Just Culture". This provides for a working environment of trust where all employees, all of whom are professionals, each have a clear understanding of what standard of behaviour is considered acceptable or unacceptable.
  • Promote and support the Salam Operations Quality Management System by understanding the requirements of AS9110. Promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation whilst recognising and highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement (CI).
  • Responsible for achievable success against the Forward Maintenance Support Service contracted Operational Readiness (OR) and consolidation KPIs.
  • In consultation with Maintenance Management or Maintenance Squadron Commander (MSC) as appropriate, ensuring the compilation and timely release of Flt Safety and Ground Incident Reports, including all Follow Up reports.
  • As a Line Manager exercising your delegated health and safety responsibilities for all personnel employed in or attached to areas under your control, including other persons who may be affected by their work activities.
  • Support to the Support and Training Management and Consolidation Cell for all consolidation requirements.
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager undertake strategic reviews of the Forward Maintenance and challenge current practices to identify potential areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Deputising for the Deputy Maintenance Management during periods of absence, assuming their responsibilities as required.
