POSITION OVERVIEW:


Responsibility for Parsons's Cable cars systems management for the Vertical Links project for SAPL's Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIP) program and be part of a specialized technical group whose work includes the assessment, review of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for the major cable cars systems project and related structures including at ground and elevated stations, and other transportation-related Buildings.

Reports directly to the Vertical Links (VL) Senior Project Manager.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the planning and initial site setup and production of the cable cars systems engineering plan, integrated with the project engineering plans.
  • Develops Standard operating procedures for the cable cars systems engineering of the program and ensure that QIP follow them so there is operational consistency across the VL project.
  • Coordinate with other delivery partners, as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.
  • Plan and implement engineering strategies and approaches in accordance with the completed and approved systems engineering plan.
  • Undertaking design review of drawings, calculations and specifications covering cable cars systems and other Vertical Links transportationrelated infrastructure.
  • Reviewing of design calculations for all aspects of the cable cars infrastructure
  • Reviewing mechanical and architectural Design Drawings, structural drawings, combined services coordinated drawings & Shop Drawings in relation with Vertical Links scope.
  • Reviewing method statements for the cable cars systems installations
  • Reviewing, Coordinating & finalizing field design changes.
  • Preparing presentations, design reports & functional reports as per the instructions of the Senior Project Manager
  • Reviewing of Material specifications, list of manufacturers, available suppliers, and general specifications.
  • Facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders/organizations impacted by the program.
  • Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals, ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 4year degree in Mechanical Engineering and preferred Master's degree and Chartered status (or equivalent) with minimum 710 years' experience in cable cars systems construction projects.
  • Safety Qualification / Awareness Training.
  • Very strong communication skills in English.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Proven experience of working within complex systems engineering environment.
  • Ability to work in teams. Ability to follow through. Ability to clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with an influence seniorlevel management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, coworkers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in a team, deliver objectives and targets.
