We are making Saudi Arabia a safer place by securing the country's critical infrastructure and e-security solutions that secure the country's electronic payment systems.

Thales has been selected to supply major electronic systems for air defence and the Group also supplied communication and optronic systems for the Army, the Saudi Arabia National Guards and the Air Force.


JOB OBJECTIVE

  • Manages the complete work package lifecycle and ensuring the work package activities are accomplished as per the project standards.
  • Manages and coordinates internal (Control Account Managers, Work Package Managers, Project Manager, etc.) and external (Customer, suppliers, subcontractors, partners) dedicated teams by involving the following associated teams: Sales, finance, contract management, etc.
  • Directs the work package activities (including those relating to risks & opportunities) to reach completion of the work package regarding its technical, industrial, financial, and customer satisfaction aspects.
  • This responsibility is exercised from signature of the work package agreement with the Project Manager through to the project completion period in terms of organization, time frame, workload, budget, etc.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Package Manager will report to Project Manager and work closely with the project team and contributing departments (and if necessary, external partners or main suppliers) to:

  • Detail and flow down the Costs, Schedule and Performance commitments with contributing departments (Work Package have been agreed at the time of acceptance of the contract
  • Gate 3), as well as the availability of the resources necessary to execute,
  • Initiate the opening of budget lines to enable the team to book to the Work Package and be operative,
  • Revalidate the risk and opportunity register(s) and present the actions to reduce the causes and the effects of them (Risk and Opportunity Management process),
  • Commence configuration management, if required.
  • Put in place the management tools and set up the Work Package data repository and to be in line with the approved Project Management Plan.
  • Formalize the composition and the appointment of the Work Package team and coordinate with the other Work Package Managers in the contributing departments.
  • Establish the status of the make/buy decisions, if required.
  • Confirm and validate the contributions to the Work Package from departments, partners, subcontractors and suppliers against the requirements conformity matrix, performance, cost and schedule.
  • Validate the estimated financial position at completion, as a reference for the contract (any variation compared to Work Package agreement will have to be justified and agreed).
  • Enhance reliability of decisionmaking through better analysis of the scenarios based on relevant information, contributing to the achievement of the Project objectives;
  • Increase the profitability of Project through better risk anticipation and management, as well as through the identification and the realization of opportunities.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in Complex Projects and 5 years in standard Bid/Project Management.
  • Managing project execution, including Site Management, activities for the delivering the project while satisfying Customer needs and expectations.
  • Experience in System Engineering Project life cycle activities.
  • Management of highquality customer deliverables
  • Team development and foster continuous improvement.
  • A proven track record of driving successful solutions relevant to Thales across complex, multidisciplinary, multisite organizations.
  • Identifying innovative ideas and concepts.
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors in Electrical / Electronic / Computer / IT or relevant Engineering and should be certified by Saudi Engineering of Council (SEC)
  • Certified Associate in Project Management from PMI or similar certification
