Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineering Manager - Tunnels, Stations & Civils Structures to join our team In this role, you will be responsible for Parsons's Mobility (Transportation) sector engineering management for SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIP). You will be accountable for ensuring that all work is in full coordination with Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) and with delivery partners. QIP is providing strategic direction for all partners in the three-way partnership on a city-wide basis.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Lead the planning and initial site set-up and production of the Mobility engineering and Design management plan, integrated with the City and program engineering plans to give a city-wide approach.
  2. Develop Standard operating procedures for the rail tunnels, civils and structures engineering of the program and ensure that QIP follow them so there is operational consistency across the program.
  3. Ensure and assure consistency in the execution of supply chain design and construction in accordance with Client technical requirements.
  4. Lead design review process to ensure compliance with Client Requirements.
  5. Coordinate technical reviews in support of the FIDIC Engineer.
  6. Coordinate with other delivery partners (Jacobs and Mace), as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.
  7. Plan and implement civil engineering strategies and approaches in accordance with the completed and approved mobility engineering plan.
  8. Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the delivery teams.
  9. Contribute to the development of innovative engineering principles and ideas.
  10. Lead on unusually complex civil engineering problems and provide solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with project and engineering leads.
  11. Facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders/organizations impacted by the program.
  12. Assign work to employees, oversee, and track the completion of work assignments.
  13. Agree scope, budget and schedule for remote engineering services in support of QIP tracks and the completion of work orders.
  14. Interview and select personnel for assignment as required.
  15. Maintain clear and concise work standards and goals; provide training and development; complete performance evaluations, conduct employee counselling, take corrective action as necessary.
  16. Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  17. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring

4-year degree in Civil Engineering and preferred Master's degree and Chartered status (or equivalent) with a minimum of 15 years' experience in mega construction projects.
Proven experience of working within a complex rail and metro engineering environment with tunnelling, Stations, Structures and heavy Civils.
Working knowledge with all local and international Railways and Metro applicable standards in the field of Civils, Stations, Structures, and Tunnels Safety Qualification/Awareness Training.
Very strong oral & written communication skills in English.

Strong Contractor Management skills.
