Context:
Planned to be the world's largest floating industrial complex ,the Neom Industrial City will be a 7km-wide floating city that will be home to the world's 'first fully automated port and integrated logistics hub'.
We are currently seeking a Design Manager (Bridges) who will provide expert design management skills to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
This role is responsible for the review of key projects being delivered, development of concept designs in conjunction with the team as required.
Main duties:
- Manages the setup of all design management systems and documents, ensures technical staff are appointed and roles and responsibilities of each team member is well defined and reporting lines and communications is established. Responsible for successful delivery of the project in accordance with the scope of works from inception to final implementation including quality, time, cost and technical alignment with client sectors and procedures.
- Provide project management and governance of the design team complex and largescale projects to achieve reliable project performance in terms of commercial outcomes, design solutions, timeliness and quality
- Source, build and maintain strong and effective client, stakeholders and internal team relationships through successful project delivery and targeted activities
- Provide leadership to Bridge & Structures team of the project to ensure project team technical and staff cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development
- Provide project technical leadership and project management of complex and largescale project to achieve reliable project performance in terms of commercial outcomes, design solutions, timeliness and quality.
Degrees:
- Bachelor degree in Civil engineering

Technical skills:
- Demonstrated ability to consistently succeed in a similar role, with typically, 20+ years of relevant hands on experience in delivering major bridges
- Strong knowledge of relevant structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Previous experience liaising with government authorities for obtaining NOCs and Design Approvals, etc.
- Professional registration may also be required
- Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required

- Proven project design skills (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client requirements)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multidisciplinary environment
