Oversee and ensure implementation of Operational Risk Framework throughout BSF functions, ensuring alignment with the enterprise wide risk management strategy, including articulation of the operational risk profile and risk tolerances and appetite and enabling improved decision making that explicitly considers operational risk.


  • Monitor the adequacy and strengthen of the control environment throughout BSF functions and recommend management actions to ensure the operational risk profiles supports the achievement of business objectives and followup for implementation.
  • Provide guidance to the businesses throughout in the identification of key Operational risk exposures as well as the implementation of ORM tools with BSF group.
  • Manage the implementation and sustainment of ORM programs and tools such as Risk & Control Selfassessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Incident Management (IM), Product and Procedures Reviews and management related reporting.
  • Risk identification, assessment and measurement:
  • Manage the businesses in the identification if key Operational exposures within BSF.
  • Ensure that key issues and actions are identified and effectively managed.
  • Ensure that adequate risk responses are taken toward risk exposures including acceptance and escalations.
  • Manage the assessment and analytics as required by working with different stakeholders on product risk, reviews, problematic processes, outsource arrangements, key initiatives, significant loss events, etc.
  • Analyze the outcome of links created between ORM tools such as loss data, KRI, RCSA, issues and actions & Product and procedure reviews.
  • Manage the assessment of control adequacy and strength in BSF and recommends management actions to ensure a stable risk profile.
  • Build and produce regular reports on Operational Risk profiles, analysis and exposures on a quarterly basis.
  • Supports the implementation of ORM projects in relations to systems, tools and training. Act as a Center of Excellence for education and advocacy of information on BSF Operational Risk management practices and programs to foster sound ORM in BSF leading to embedding an Operational Risk mindset in the business/support and control functions.
  • Embody the values of BSF in the daily relation with BSF staff.
  • Promote a strong culture of control awareness and risk mitigation in all dealings with the business and risk management
  • Ensuring effective alignment between OTRD, CISD, Compliance Group and Internal Audit on matters related to internal controls and bankwide risk assessments.

  • A. Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional degrees in domains related to Banking, Banking Operations, Banking Products and Services, Corporate Governance, audit, compliance and risk management.
years' experience in Banking or in a control function (risk management, internal audit, external audit and compliance).

  • Handson experience in risk management, internal control (audit and compliance) and banking operations including: corporate banking, retail banking, banking products/services, corporate governance, and IT governance.
  • Research and problem solving, investigation and synthesis skills.
  • Data analytics, reporting, writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Wellversed decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to develop and enhance risk management and internal control policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the applicable risk management regulatory guidelines and best practices.
