Duties:

  • Serves as the Attorney-Advisor (General) in the US Army?s Office of the Program Manager-Saudi Arabian National Guard (OPM-SANG) Modernization Program, a geographically dispersed 06 Program headquartered in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Serves as the expert in Fiscal Law, provides legal advice with respect to the appropriate expenditure of partner nation funds.
  • Prepares opinions and furnishes legal advice concerning facilities contracts and related matters, including utilization and disposal of property procured with FMS case funds.
  • Reviews, researches and provides legal interpretation of a wide range of federal labor and personnel statutes.
  • Considers the weight of the evidence, pleadings, and investigative reports, prepares analysis and briefs, and makes recommendations, taking into consideration the amount involved and precedentsetting impact on the Program and the public.
  • Furnishes legal advice in difficult matters regarding intellectual property; preventative law; organizational conflicts of interest; fiscal and funding matters; and Congressional and investigative agency matters pertaining to client programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires the incumbent to maintain active bar membership, in good standing (as defined by the pertinent bar) of the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. territory, the District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Bar Membership:

Applicants must be active members in good standing (as defined by the pertinent bar) of the bar of a State, territory, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.


3) Professional Legal Experience:

GS-15:Applicants must possess more than 3 years of professional legal experience after admission to the bar commensurate with the duties of the position.
