The candidate will be joining our sales and business development team which is responsible for creating leads for new business by reaching out to potential and existing clients or by responding to proposal requests. This team maintains relationships with potential clients and provide high quality customer service, with the aim of converting leads to projects

The main responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer

  • Identifying and approaching new potential clients
  • Building rapport with key client contacts
  • Collecting data from clients and following up with them
  • Conducting project site visits and surveys
  • Supporting engineering design team with preliminary designs
  • Preparing solar PV simulation reports
  • Calculating project savings figures
  • Preparing preliminary project Gantt chart schedules
  • Maintaining company registrations on relevant vendor portals
  • Updating and maintaining CRM software
  • Shadowing business development manager and supporting all functions of the sales and business development team
  • Creating engaging and informative content for social media platforms
  • Developing and updating marketing presentations and promotional materials
  • Supporting other marketing-related projects and initiatives as required

In addition to the above, the Technical Sales Engineer is expected to coordinate and work effectively with other members of the team, and to assist with furthering the goals of the company in general, even where this may involve work that is not strictly related to their day-to-day responsibilities.

Potential candidates should have

  • 1-3 years of engineering and sales experience
  • A good command of English and Arabic, enabling them to communicate with the team as well as clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Confidence in taking on responsibility, multitasking and working independently in a fast-moving environment
  • A resourceful and independent attitude and the ability to problem solve
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering to high standards
  • A willingness to continue to learn, grow and develop professionally
  • Long-term commitment to being a part of a growing business

In addition, the following attributes would be an advantage

  • Experience in the design or installation of PV systems
  • Good knowledge of other parts of the PV value chain
  • Experience and/or knowledge of electrical power systems in general
  • Experience in construction management
  • Experience in using related software such as helioscope, PVSyst, and AutoCAD
