Communications Director


The Communications Director will work closely with executives and other departments to develop and execute effective communication strategies, and play a key role in managing the project's brand, reputation and corporate narrative.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic public relations plans that drive brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to develop communication materials such as press releases, media pitches, and other content.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to position senior executives as thought leaders in the industry.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends and media coverage to identify opportunities and potential threats.
  • Manage PR efforts to support events, product launches, and other initiatives.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executives and other departments on communication issues.
  • Develop coordinated schedules and plans for corporate communication initiatives.
  • Lead and champion the development of internal communications strategy and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute innovative and engaging internal communications campaigns and projects.
  • Prepare internal presentations and speeches.
  • Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team, including copywriters and designers.
  • Manage a small team.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic communications, public relations or related field.
  • Experience in content production, copywriting and editing.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive communication strategies and implement them effectively.
  • Experience building and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize accordingly.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing scenarios and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related fields.
  • Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable.
