ABOUT THE ROLE
administering various intravenous medications and treatments to patients in an outpatient setting.


Your ability to deliver a professional and caring experience can have a big impact for our patients who undergo recurring treatments.

RNs at our clinics work on a regular, predictable schedule each week. With no on-call or night shifts, nurses are able to plan activities and better manage a household.

Our low patient to nurse ratio means nurses can work at a normal pace, with time to provide proper clinical care and be attentive to patient well-being.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with clinical and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care
  • Demonstrate clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations
  • Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history
  • Assess and document the biometrics and health status of the patient.
  • Prepare medications by mixing with diluent solution
  • Prepare patients for infusion or injection
  • Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols. Monitor patients' vital signs and reactions during infusion, ensuring proper medication administration and patient comfort.
  • Provide onsite supervision for all patients
  • Adhere to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care
  • Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record
  • Respond to medication reactions by following defined procedures
  • Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects
  • Triage infusion patient inquiries
  • Communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care
  • Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
  • Assist with audits and regulatory functions, as needed
  • Assist with annual staff review process including skill competency assessments
  • Participate in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery, offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.
  • Work at multiple centers / facilities within a market as needed

  • Valid nurse practitioner license

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • RN Degree, BSN Preferred
  • Preferred 3 years nursing experience
  • 1+ years of infusion experience.
  • Current certification or willingness to obtain infusion certification within a year of hire. Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) certification or similar.
  • Strong understanding of various infusion therapies, medications, and their potential interactions.
  • Proficiency in using infusion pumps and related equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare providers.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organized patient records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and patientcentered approach to care.
  • Ability to meet KSA employment and eligibility requirements.
