General information:
You will be serving as a Project Manager within Hitachi Energy's operations in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As part of your role, you will oversee the implementation of medium to large GIS projects, ensuring they align with Hitachi Energy policies and standards, contractual agreements, quality benchmarks, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute projects according to contract terms and conditions, schedules, and specifications.
  • Review project contracts received from the sales team, grasp the contract details, and identify potential risks that could impact margins and performance.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project activities (scope, time, and cost) diligently, including project handover, execution planning, and monitoring to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop project schedules in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, maintain a comprehensive master document list, and update it regularly.
  • Perform process activities using SAP, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and internal processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering and customers to secure timely approvals for drawings and documents and resolve project-related queries promptly.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for customers regarding project issues, ensuring that Hitachi Energy fulfills its commitments as per the contract.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through regular interactions, establish trust and loyalty, and provide progress reports as per contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and document customer change requests, assess project risks, devise risk management plans, and coordinate FAT activities efficiently.
  • Work closely with various teams for activities such as invoicing, dispatch, installation, testing, commissioning, and payment collection.
  • Ensure timely submission of deliverables like as-built drawings, PAC & FAC, and manage project closure effectively.
  • Report project status and progress to internal stakeholders and management comprehensively.

Your background:
  • A degree in electrical engineering.
  • 7 to 12 years of experience in executing GIS projects, Substation projects, or similar endeavors related to High Voltage equipment.
  • Experience working with customers in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders in favor of project success.
  • Capacity to work effectively under pressure to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
