Job Requirements

  • American Boards, or Canadian FRCPC, or FRCS(UK & Ireland), or Western Europe equivalent, or Australian boards,and
  • Valid and current medical license/registration in NorthAmerica, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand, and
  • Aminimum of 3-5 years post-specialty certification experience in thespecialty area in a mid- to large-size hospital in North America,Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand.
  • Must qualify tobe classified as a Consultant by the Saudi Commission for HealthSpecialties.
  • Diagnostic Radiologist who may have expertiseor interest in neuroradiology or head and neck radiology.

Department Information

Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides multiplediagnostic imaging examinations and related services for all hospitalpatients.

Scope

Diagnostic imagingservices are provided to accommodate pediatric, adult, and geriatricpatients received from the outpatient and inpatient units. Promptdiagnostic reports are provided to physicians, who can view images onthe âmagic webâ from computers in patient care areas. Extensivedigital archives of diagnostic images are maintained for patient care,research, and teaching. Film duplications are provided for patientsupon transfer to other health care facilities after completion of careat KKESH. Continued education is provided to physicians and hospitalstaff on diagnostic imaging practices and diagnosis, radiationprotection and safety, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) safety.The department adheres to the standards of the InternationalCommission on Radiological Protection, the National Council onRadiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP (USA)), and theInternational Atomic Energy Agency.

  • 1 MRI technologist
  • 1 MRI trainee
  • 1 CTtechnologist
  • 1 chief digital ultrasonographer
  • 2 ultrasound trainees

  • Routine radiographic examination;
  • Magnetic resonance imaging: head only;
  • Computerizedtomography;
  • Ultrasound: diagnostic and intraocular lenscalculations;
