JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing daily kitchen utility operations including dish room, night cleaning, back dock cleaning, banquet plating, and food running. Supervise kitchen associates not actively engaged in cooking to enhance guest and associate satisfaction within budget constraints.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience


• High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related area.

OR


• 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field; 2 years of experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Day-to-Day Operations


• Monitor and manage necessary supplies for the team and ensure they have all essential tools to perform their tasks effectively.


• Schedule events, programs, and activities while monitoring material inventory.


• Update relevant information to executives, peers, and subordinates in a timely manner.


• Assist with dish room equipment maintenance and repair.


• Conduct inventories of china, glass, and silverware.


• Coordinate banquet plating and food running activities.


• Ensure compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and regulations.


• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to maintain service efficiency and standards.


• Manage all equipment and report malfunctions promptly.


• Perform utility associates' duties as needed.

Providing and Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service


• Attend meetings to enhance service quality and meet customer expectations daily.


• Empower associates to deliver excellent customer service and focus on continuous improvement.


• Set a positive example for guest relations.

Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities


• Provide guidance and performance standards for subordinates.


• Recruit, interview, select, hire, and promote associates.


• Ensure fair administration of property policies and safety procedures training.


• Support new hires with necessary training for job success.
